Can you explain what you're looking for a bit more?

In Illinois, quite a bit of the EMS is based out of the FDs. This is true for your neck of the woods most certainly. The private services are generally for hospital-to-hospital transfers, although there are some exceptions.

If you're looking for dispatch, try the FDs that cover the areas you're interested in.

If you're looking for EMS patient reporting, 155.400 is used in the NW suburbs, as well as 155.340. The med channels have activity as well, but overall, a lot of this traffic has gone to cellular.

Thanks for the info. I was in fact looking for patient info reports, and did not know a lot of this went to cellular. I was also looking for Helicopter reports as well.

I had several channels programmed in under the "merci" frequencies, but a lot of these, such as Merci 1, are school buses, not ambulances. So, I was just looking to get into the patient reporting a little further.

Thanks for your reply. I would still be interested in any good helicopter channels.

most do share Freq's with others...however different PL tones are used so traffic is seperate on those Freqs...try adding the PL tones to ur radio and that will filter the unwanted traffic and leave you better to hear the Air and Ground runs
