The fiscal court has approved a resolution adopting the national incident management system.
Knox County EMS Director Joe Bradshaw said the NIMS agreement puts everyone on the same page in the event of a disaster. If the county doesn’t adopt NIMS, it doesn’t receive money from FEMA, which includes money from flooding disasters.

NIMS, let's speak federalease. All public safety entities have no choice but to adopt thier way of doing or lose your funds. The current IMS system wasn't good enough for them, they had to make it work thier way becasue it was to easy. The feds never heard of KISS. Long story shor, it's thier way or the highway.
