On 05-04-09, I mailed a USPS money order for $211.00 to David Price (emt_531) of Visalia, CA. for a PRO-96 adverstised in the for sale forum. After cashing the M.O., Price emailed me stating that his daughter had broken the scanner and he would be refunding my money. Several days later he emailed that he had fixed the scanner and would ship it the next day.

After waiting approximately 2 more weeks, I emailed him again. He responed by saying that he had just shipped the scanner with "signature confirmation." However, he would not provide a tracking number or even the date he had shipped the scanner or the post office he had shipped it from. A few days later, Price said he would mail me a copy of the receipt from the post office to show that he was not being deceptive and that the scanner was shipped.

On 06-08-09, Price stated that he had checked with the post office and the scanner was "lost." He still refused my request of a tracking number and date / place of shipment. On 06-09-09, Price emailed that he was mailing a refund via money order for the scanner. He assured me he was honest and was not "a scammer" like some of the ones on radioreference. Surprisingly, he still would not provide a tracking number or details of shipment when I offerred to have an associate who works for the USPS try to track down the scanner. As of today (06-24-09) I have not received the scanner, a copy of the receipt showing shipment, tracking number, or a refund as promised. In Price's last email, he said that it was not his fault that the post office had lost the pacakge. I have saved all emails and the M.O. receipt as I have been forced to initiate an investigation into the matter.

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up on this guy.
Paul
