Transmission on 173.1000 NAC290, reference GPS coordinates for Command Post, HazMat, etc.
Mention of near Food Court entrance. The one set of coordinates I was able to copy down were in Wolfchase Mall. First traffic heard in the clear on this frequency. Have been monitoring for about a year.
Anyone else familiar with this frequency?

173.100 is a Department of Justice FBI repeater frequency down here in the southeast. They use a NAC of 330. The mobile units are encrypted and the base is 'in the clear'. Most of the transmissions are security checks.

Sounds like you caught part of a FBI Response Drill. They have been running several of these lately after the public location shooting events.
