The media really needs to let this go. Every time they bring it up, another community starts thinking about. And the media, then the cops start thinking every bad guy has a scanner. It just isn't true. I wouldn't mind the cops going after the apps carrying police. Of course the media benefits most from it, because they'll cut deals which will get them radio's in the news room.
