Using dsd fastlane I observed a freq with what appears to be two different encryption types, One appears to be motorola BP and i think the other one is hytera, Why would there be two showing? The signal i receive is very strong. I tried posting this in the previous custom firmware thread that i have posted in before but for some reason i am gettting a message "You have insufficient privileges to reply here."

One is Basic Privacy, the other is Enhanced Privacy aka RC4 aka ARC4 aka ADP aka 40-bit...not "Hytera".

Anyway, I suspect it was just a decode error, happens even with strong signals. Sometimes signals can be too strong, in fact.

You need to figure out if what you saw in DSD+ is consistently happening, or if you're basing it off a single instance of seeing it.

Well if you always see the BP entry immediately prior to the EP entry, then it's probably just a DSD+ quirk. Maybe it first assumes BP until it can determine for certain that it's actually EP, and then the second message pops up. Who knows, email the DSD+ author, but this (Uniden Tavern) is also not the correct forum for asking a question about DSD+, which is probably why your first post was nuked in the other thread (it was there for a little while, gone now, appropriately).

The question was asked and answered, the big mystery has been solved, there's no point in posting "samples".
