BCD436HP/BCD536HP: Encryption vs P2

I thought this had been reported here, but I couldn't find it.

Encryption mute doesn't work on Phase 2 TDMA trunking. Appears to work fine on conventional P25 and Phase 1 trunking. This applies to the BCD436HP, I can't speak for the BCD536HP.

That's very similar to what I hear on channels with Motorola ADP encryption. It doesn't happen on every transmission, perhaps half of them. It's on a P25 Phase I system, however.

Mine appears to work every time on ADP, but that's on simplex.

I had one of the low serial numbers and mine didnt do that.And my firmware was the newest both phase 1 and 2.

Very interesting. All of my BCDx36HP scanners are the low serial numbers with the newest firmware release and they all will not mute P25 Phase II encryption.
