Englehart/Kirkland Lake assistance

Hey all.

Just looking for some frequency help; hopefully from someone in the area.
I’ve checked TAFL and the database, but the latter is a little sparse on details and not sure how up to date it is.

Will be traveling to a fairly remote location in the Kirkland Lake/Englehartt area, closer to Englehart this weekend.

For fire, TAFL shows 154.890 for both areas, but the database is showing 152.345/155.1. Just curious as to which one is used?

As far as FleetNet, besides KL, what other tower(s) should I monitor?

I’m visually impaired, so looking at a map for lay of the land isn’t an option.

Find out the names of some of the local communities and townships etc in Timiskaming District Timiskaming District - Wikipedia do a tafl search on them and load them all in to the radio. You're bound to hear something.

In terms of FleetNet, to respond to that bit - there's a tower called Charlton that isn't too far from Englehart, just west of it. South of it is Cobalt, with King Kirkland being the more Northern one.
