ENGLEWOOD – A fire at an auto shop on Saturday afternoon sent one man to the hospital.

Englewood Fire says the blaze broke out at Colorado Transmission, located at 3935 Lipan, around 3:30 p.m.

Witnesses tell authorities that the shop's owner was welding something when there was some sort of explosion, causing quite a bit of damage to the shop.

The victim was transported to a local hospital. His name and condition were not immediately known.

Fire investigators have not released a cause for the blaze.
