entering 2 cities to monitor

good day..i am very novice to this scanner thing and would like to monitor just Eastpointe and Roseville PD and FD. how do i go about entering the freq's for the 2 and where do i enter them into? like i stated i have no idea even where to start. any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you in advance for the time and help.

You need a digital scanner to listen those two departments

i do have a digital trunking scanner a pro-2096 from radio shack

You enter the frequencies for the towers around you, and then enter the talk groups you want to listening to
