I was wondering, when programming my Uniden digital scanner using FreeSCAN, and the Tone is an NAC Digital tone, do I have to enter the 3 digit NAC# under the column labeled Tone (like DCS 223), AND enter the 3 digit NAC#: 223 under the column labeled NAC? Or can I just enter the NAC # 223 under the NAC column and select NONE under the Tone column?
Thanks, Steve

You can't enter a NAC in the tone column. You have to select from the drop down. Enter the NAC in the NAC column and it will work.

Correct, Tone would be for an analog channel and NAC would be for a digital channel.
So if your monitoring a dual mode channel, enter both, if your monitoring digital, enter NAC.

I think if you enter a NAC, the tone column will gray out anyway. Doesn't let you have two different tones because is not possible
