I have heard the term EOC frequency mentioned on my scanner by the local authorities. What does that mean and how can I go about finding the EOC frequency for my area.

It means Emergency Operations Center. Ask in the Georgia Forum.

Maybe yes and maybe no. Our EOC monitors all of the calling talk-groups set up to include "Emergency Mgt. Call" (EMCALL), LECALL, and FRCALL. Now these are not frequencies but there is nothing to say that an EOC can't montor and respond to calls on 155.370 or some other LE calling frequency if their license permits.
