I see Kuhl hose recently added an online scanner to their website however it seems to be down.

Does anyone know anything about it and if it has been working?

It sounds like they have 33.98 which is the old county wide dispatch freq along with Millcreek Fire Control's UHF frequencies and the City of Erie's VHF freqs.

I was pretty excited when I saw it. I grew up in Erie and my first exposure to scanners was my neighbor's (a Volunteer FF) Plectron monitor. That was the late 60's/early 70's and West Ridge VFD still used a fire siren. I remember saving my money to buy my first scanner, a 10 ch. Regency monitoradio. I had to buy crystals one at a time but I'm sure the first one I bought was 33.98.

Millcreek is no longer on 33.98 having moved to UHF a few years ago. It sounds like they are using the same Plectron tones they've been using for at least the last 35 years.

There's also a UHF link that simulcasts 33.980 It's 453.550

The down side is that you get traffic on 33.980 from all over (Warren, Crawford, etc counties)
