Yea if I get any good audio and can't figure it out I will also post the audio files for everyone to listen too if necessary. I'm also listening into all the FM communications and Saianet frequencies In the Wester NY area, I deleted all the ones I have and I'm just listening too the frequencies I do not have anything on.

Orchard Park PD operates in DMR mode on 453.3625, so it wouldn't be a stretch to think that they programmed 453.7125 into their radios as a secondary channel or whatever. Trouble is, 453.7125 is UTAC42, and so they really should not be operating in DMR mode on that frequency, especially since it's not a licensed emission.

I retract my previous post. A little birdie has confirmed that Orchard Park is not using this frequency for anything other than standard analog UTAC42 interop.

So either a) the transmission is on the Canadian side of the border or b) you picked something up during a band opening.

I choose a) and b) :D

Maybe with a band opening it could be this oil and gas plant in Port Burwell. Lot of unobstructed lake to carry the signal. And, they have another location, Port Dover on that frequency.

More frequency and location info on the company: TAFL Search Results

(Making a big assumption that this is it)

Earlier I think I picked up some analog audio on this frequency but it was so weak I could not make out if it was real or just birdie or cross band noise. The sds100 scanner is not the best for picking up analog signals when they are weak, I will let it search all night and see if anything comes up

They are talking about pigging, this is a device they send through a pipeline to either clean it or check for any damage to the pipeline, also sounds like there either on a boat or a work platform/barge ?? I have been listening to unknown frequencies all day and have not got one hit or audio file so I don't know whats up. strange your picking this up perfect.

I find this to be more active at the later part of the day.
I had my scanner listening to over 400 unknown frequencies so I guess I could have missed the audio on this frequency. but it was running from 8 this morning and it still is running. where are you situated
