Overnight the radio system was upgraded:
frequency channel 2 is now "county-wide" and used by all units
frequency channels 1 & 4 are for backup only - not to be used regularly
frequency channel 3 is now out of service
This is from the announcement made to all units last evening at 11 pm when they were moved off channel 2 to 1 & 4 so that the work needed for the new channel 2 system could be done - told that they might be called to help with the testing as needed overnight
This am as cars checked in for service a number were advises to move to channel 2 as it was the only frequency being used and would be county-wide.
