In a nutshell, Erlanger is selling their helicopter fleet and transferring their pilots and mechanics to Med-Trans ( http://www.med-trans.net/ ), but Erlanger will continue to employ the flight nurses and medics, and will maintain medical control over the program.

Med-Trans plans to replace the Bell 412 helicopters. Recent news releases from Med-Trans say they have entered into contracts to acquire new Eurocopter EC-135s and Bell 407s. LifeForce currently has a new Bell 206L4 in service as LifeForce 3 in Calhoun, Georgia.
