I get an error when trying to update the Sentinel software on my SDS150. Downloaded the BCDx36HP_Sentinel_Version_3_00_01.zip file from the Uniden.com website, double clicked on the .zip file, and the BCDx36HP_Sentinel_Version_3_00_01 file folder was created. Double clicked on the file folder to see a DotNetFX folder, WindowsInstaller3_1 folder, a setup application file and a Setup_BCDx36HP Windows Installer Package.

When I double click on the setup application file, a window opens with the text "This setup requires the .NET Framework version 2.0. Please install the .NET Framework and run this setup again. The .NET Framework can be obtained from the web. Would you like to do this now? Yes or No"

If I choose "Yes", I see a Download .NET window asking me to download .NET Framework version 10.0. I cannot find a .NET Framework version 2.0 to download, as support of this version ended on October 1, 2018.

Has anyone had this problem and how do I fix it? I would like to use my SD150 and all I have been able to do is charge the battery pack. I have never seen a problem about my computer software connected to a scanner. I am running a Dell Inspiron 16 Laptop purchased in June 2023 with all Dell software up to date.

You need to open WINDOWS FEATURES
If one doesn't have .NET Framework 3.5/3.0/2.0 available in their Windows Features as shown, download the installer for it here:

A BIG note about .NET Framework: Different version numbers aren't upward/downward compatible, but you can have different versions installed, and they won't conflict.
