Public safety communications systems in Yavapai County have been evolving over the past several years and the DB is in need of some "clean-up".

Camp Verde Marshal's Office - Self dispatches, but also currently dispatches for Clarkdale PD and Jerome PD. Clarkdale PD will be changing to another dispatch center this year. Unknown at this time if Jerome PD will remain with CVMO or will switch to the regional CPSCC (Cottonwood Public Safety Communications Center).

Clarkdale PD
- The current entry shows them being dispatched by Jerome PD. - this is incorrect. I spoke the Chief of Police Taylor on Thursday and he said that while they are currently being dispatched by CVMO, they are scheduled to switch to the regional dispatch center at CPSCC later this year. They are waiting for the MOU to be signed by the cities involved and outfitting of the CPSCC for the agency's comm gear.

Jerome PD - The current entry shows them as being dispatched by CVMO and this is the case. Since Jerome FD is being dispatched by CPSCC, one could surmise that the JPD would join them for continuity in communications, but I have no definitive word at this time.

Cottonwood Public Safety Communications Center
(CPSCC is the regional PSAP and regional dispatch cneter for the Verde Valley area, They are a secondary PSAP for the greater Yavapai County area). They currently dispatch the following agencies:
  • Cottonwood Police Department
  • Cottonwood Fire & Medical Department
  • Verde Valley Ambulance Company
  • Jerome Fire Department
  • Verde Valley Fire District (Verde Villages, Cornville, and Clarkdale)
  • Sedona Fire District
  • Copper Canyon Fire and Medical District (Camp Verde, Lake Montezuma, Rimrock)
Could the conflicting entries be resolved and the DB updated? Thanks.
