I see the county commissioners are still drinking the Motorola Kool Aid. They spent 12.5 million in 2011 because they convinced the county they had to switch to P25 in order to meet FCC mandate.

People who live in Escambia County should contact their elected officials and tell them no money for upgrades unless the Sheriff Office drops encryption on dispatch channels. What the heck it sure couldn't hurt to ask an elected official to support that position. The worse that happens is they say no and everything stays encrypted!
