Escambia County/ Santa Rosa Fire Help

Is anyone familar with the Escambia COunty Fire System? One of my firefighters is on a Base there and wants to add their fire channels to his radio so he doesn't have to carry 2. Is ther main fire dispatch on 154.430 simplex and the other two tac channels repeaters? From the FCC database, this is how it appears.

On Santa Rosa, can anyone confirm the proper inputs and tones for the Fire Central, North, and South Towers? I think I have them but I'm too far away to test.

Escambia County, Florida Fire Department dispatches about 20 different stations on a repeater frequency of 154.430. Then the individual stations will swith to a "Tac Channel".
The South End units will switch to 159.180 ( Tac 2) . The Northern Units in the county will switch to 155.820 (Tac 1) .

Then there is 155.145 known as Civil Defense or CD. The 155.145 can be used by all the fire departments. It is only activated when the tac channels get full. Then some of the individual fire department have their own frequencies to use as fireground so the Tac channel will not get full. All of the County Ambulances get dispatched on 462.975. LifeFlight can use All of the above frequencies plus more. Hope this helps. If I find more information I will post it on your web group or email you directly.

I think I got it all together. I put my BC785 on scanning the inputs and outputs of the repeater pairs and I got the tones I needed. The sure like 118.8 Hz in Escambia County!

Escambia Fire Rescue 154.43 is not a repeated channel. That is why you may not hear the field units.
North end does work off the Tac channel 155.82, sometimes called Tac 1. South end units work off the main channel or switch to CD 155.145, there is no Tac 2.

I am The Communications Commander for Escambia Search and Rescue. And we have permission to use TAC-2 (159.180) repeater using a DCS tone. Multi-Agencies use this repeater, even county road repair, ECUA, Sheriff Auxillary, Fire, ESAR, and many others!

What I meant was there is no Tac 2 as far as County Fire Dispatch is concerned. That frequency 159.18 is liscensed to Escambia County Solid Waste. It is not on our fire console, we do not monitor it, so could not be used it as a fire tac channel through us.
But if all of you are borrowing it, Scanner land may find it interesting.
We are looking into getting another Tac channel though, I'll let you know when that occurs.

That is wrong then and now... 154.430 is not and has not ever been a repeater! Have you ever even monitored the frequencies? South end never used a repeater other than "Med One" 155.025, until Brent VFD put up the 154.310 repeater, and still they used Civil Defense 155.145 (yet another simplex frequency), for fireground. Depending on location and how many incidents There is Tac-1 (a.k.a. Tac 1 North), 155.820 and Tac-2 (a.k.a. Tac-2 North) 159.0975, and that is it, other than simplex frequencies used by individual departments (with the exception of Pensacola Beach - Station 13 155.835 repeater which was, may still be on Tristan Towers Condos).
And Escambia EMS DOES NOT allow life flight on 462.975! NO Other Agency is on that frequency! They can use the "Med" channels to hospitals, and most of the VHF fire frequencies I just mentioned above. I do not know where you got your info, but from your spelling of what seems to be Alabama (Albamma) makes that enlightening and revealing!
And all of this is most likely about to change anyway, as Escambia County has decided to go to a digital system, with the ECSO encrypted... BUT, there is a software out there that you can make a dedicated PC decode ProVoice, etc.. so they have a false sense of "no one can hear us", just like FHP thinks, but are wrong!

FHP thinks that no one can hear them and they are correct. They run ProVoice, which can be defeated, but they also run encryption, which can't.

Edit: maybe that's what you meant - not sure.
