ESK?

This may have been covered before, but if it has, I cant find it!
Is there any definate way of telling whether an EDACS system is using ESK? I am trying to get the Atlantic CountyNJ EDACS wide area system to track, and it just doesnt want to do anything on a BC795D!
I am reasonably sure that I have the LCN correct, and am able to track 2 other local EDACS regular systems fine.
Also is there any special difference in programming a wide area system?
Atlantic County NJ has 3 sites and in two of them the first 7 channels are duplicates. Control channels in the two similar systems are generally on different freqs, so I am assuming that it isnt simulcast.

As far as i can tell, they are not using ESK. Some of the towns are ProVoice. Send me an e-mail to scott@w2sjw.com, and I'll send you something that just might help.

All systems in the county are part of the wide-area setup, even Galloway. Most TGID's are identical throughout the system, some are special. It would be easier if you had a '96, because I'd just send you my .p96 file. You can download the trial version of Win96 and get a look at what I've done if you want.

But,lets say the system was ESK,how could you tell if it is or isnt?

Basically, because I can hear everything, except the ProVoice departments, just fine on my Pro-96 (on all the system sites).

If the system was using ESK, the scanner wouldn't track the system at all.

W2SJW is correct on the ESK, if it was enabled you wouldn't track anything on the scanner, and also if you were to manually select the control channel, and hold the scanner there, you would hear a sound similiar to an buzzsaw, instead of seeing CNTL-02,03, 04 , etc...
