Nope..it's a Nextel frequency now due to the rebanding. 854.38750 is the new frequency for F1.

confused

854.3875 is who's F 1 ? I just looked in the RR database and didn't see this frequency listed anywhere under Essex County, unless I'm somehow missing it. I know Essex County public service including PD are in the 867/868 range and their Sheriff Dept. in the upper 700 MHz band. So, what is 854.3875 used for??

Also, I noticed in the RR database, under Verona's repeater system, it says it's now used by the Board of Education. So, what are their PD/FD using now? Just curious, although I'm probably much too far to monitor Verona anyway.

I think what they meant was that the BOE finally got there radios for the trunked system ,not that they took over the system. All other users are still there as I monitor everyday . hope this helps .

Ah ha. I see why I missed it the first time I looked. AFTER clicking on Essex County, one would have to click AGAIN on the link "Essex County (Agency)" for additional Essex County frequencies. If the link just said "additional essex county frequencies", that would have made navigating much clearer.

Also, thanks firefighter10 for clearing that up. Again, the database should've been a little more clear regarding Verona's system and who currently uses it.
