FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

At approximately 1:42 PM, July 12th, Larimer County Sheriff's Dispatch received a 911 call in reference to a climber who had fallen near Lily Lake, South of Estes Park on Highway 7.

Larimer County Sheriff's Deputies, Allenspark Fire Department, Rocky Mountain National Parks personnel, Larimer County Emergency Services and Larimer County Search And Rescue responded to the Lily Lake location near mile marker 6 on Highway 7.

A 57-year old male had fallen approximately 30-feet while climbing. According to a physician on scene, the victim sustained possible hip injuries.

At this time emergency personnel are prepairing the victim for carry out which might take as long as two hours. It is unknown at this time what mode of transportation will be used to take the victim to a hospital.
