ETA for Uni-trunker?

I know the holidays are fast approaching and Rick's probably super busy with his family, but I was just wondering if anyone's heard anything new. I'm really looking forward to this software, as you can probably tell!

Anyhow, no biggie if we have to wait a while... just curious.

Quick summary of what's coming:

Windows only.
Simple Trunker-style text display.
Protocols: APCO P25, Motorola, and EDACS (maybe).
Support for decoding from data slicer on 2K/XP.
Support for decoding sound input (microphone or line-in).
P25 requires sound input.
No scanner control.

Right now I've got a bug to fix ... it will be ready soon.

Maybe I missed it in an earlier thread, but will this version support or use the DOS Trunker files?

The EDACS code is looking much better so it should make it into the first release.

The program does not use Trunker data files. The formats are similar so I might be able to whip up a conversion or at least the ability to import existing trunker data files. You should be able to view and edit just about anything through the program's menus and forms without resorting to editing a text file by hand.

For folks that like the look and feel of Trunker and ETrunk, there will be a new release of these - for DOS and Windows - that will of course use the same data files as the latest 3.8.3 version. At the moment, I'm not sure just when this will happen.

We've made much progress on Uni-Trunker. Many bugs have been squashed. The beta testers are giving the program a thorough work-out. In addition to EDACS, I managed to sneak MPT1327 decoding into the program.

BTW, does anyone have any MPT1327 audio samples for testing?

Once the remaining bugs have been addressed, we'll release a 1.0 version for all to use.

No MPT1327 systems in my area that I know of (Houston/North Houston).

Do you need another beta tester? Mesa/Phoenix is quite the nasty bugger of a system - if UniTrunker will work here it'll work anywhere.

I live in houston, so i can beta test it on the beast, STAR-Net. If you need me, just PM me. If it works here, it will work with any other Type II system. Also, if you are thinking about adding LTR, we have about 15 different LTR systems too.

I also have a 400-mhz MPT-1327 in Fort Erie Ontario, I have the control channels locked out so I can listen to it. If you want any audio data from the control freq's on this site let me know.
