If you do a great deal of air travel, and want a little handheld to cover HF, you had few choices that seemed to perform well that weren't pretty expensive (hundred or more US dollars..). Too one has to consider size and weight issues, as well as being able to travel overseas with something that didn't look like something that could get ripped off.

Here comes the little palm-sized E100 from Eton, and there's a nice user review here;

No it doesn't do SSB, but for general SWL in a travel portable, it looks quite nice.

Thanks Mike for that link. I decided what the hell, let me give this little guy a try while I go for my trip to Florida.
