Greetings all. New member today. Appreciate the posts, information here - lots to learn. Have an new E1 back to Universal Elect. due to tuning knob not functional and no auto time set to WWV.

They should call me on Monday, 6-15...are trying to solve the problem. But, a bit unsettling, indicated they have no E1 stock as the company will not ship that model to Universal (were not told why). Think this should be of concern? Searches haven't revealed anything further. Wonder if they stopped as units were failing or perhaps gearing up for new production?

Btw, using a G5 as backup now and enjoy it's feel and performance. Pretty good with whip at night but need my longwire for day listening. Still have to settle on perhaps an active antenna. Thanks for reading - lots of searches reveal only very dated info.

It's likely because Eton is no longer distributing the E1 - the E1XM is still available. This was announced quite a while ago, and I would suspect Universal's hands are tied because of this. Hopefully you can get this resolved without much difficulty 73 Mike

Thanks, Mike for the reply. I just found that out recently. Luckily, Universal has fixed my E-1 problems and should return it soon. Look forward to some fun listening.
