Has anyone ever gotten Etrunker working under Win2000 using a third-party comm port driver, or other mechanism??

Would you like to test out the Windows version of E-Trunk? I'll send you a copy as soon as I exterminate all the obvious bugs. Should work well for 2K and XP (maybe NT4 too).

Just a FUP to this.

Would it be possible to:

1. Compile in support for etrunker using a static set of GRP and IDS files. I've compiled this into my "personal" version of etrunker to only reference 0001grp and 0001ids files... since they wide area system here has 7 sites, and I don't want to duplicate files across multiple sites.

2. Make sure that ESK support is available (highly needed)?

Warm regards

I'm just worried about getting the program to behave identically on both DOS and Windows. However, ESK should be an easy fix. The user will have to somehow know the magic value. Perhaps a default of hex A0 ?

Say Rick, it's only 256 possible values.... I would just have the program cycle thru each possible one until valid data decoding occurs. Then the program can tell the user what the magic value is! 8)

I'm looking forward to seeing this new program as well!
