A party was taken emergent to the hospital after suffering from a gunshot wound to the head late Wednesday night in Evans (Highway 85 and 42nd Street). This incident occurred due to a suspect firing a weapon at officers during a high speed chase from an apparent stolen vehicle. It is unclear whether an officer or bystander was hit at the busy intersection.
