Hello, how can I listen to Evanston police channel? New system!

If they haven't already, the Evanston Police will eventually switch over to StarCom21, on an encrypted Talkgroup. No scanner can or ever will decode encrypted signals. Otherwise, try 470.5625 MHz, which can be received by any scanner.

They have already. I have an XTS 5000 570 to to 512 band and now its useless.

It says in the RR database that EPD dispatch is on 470.5625 and simulcasted to a encrypted TG on Starcom. I'm assuming off of message 4 that they stopped simulcasting and moved completely on to the talkgroup.

STARCOM21 TG 36976 on tower 851.0875 which is in downtown Evanston.

ibertrang is correct the patch from TG36976 to 470.56250 was shut off within the last week or so. If I can figure out how, I'll update the database to reflect that.

Yes. EPD has went to the dark side. It is illegal to monitor any encrypted traffaic as far as I know. All you can do is hope and pray for a miracal to reverse the encryption decision. (Very highly extremely unlikely)
