Decided to scan all CONUS freqs (typically I only scan 3-5 at a time) and ran across some totally unexpected clear comms. Normally we just end up with Portuguese blabber when doing this, so it was a nice change!

255.550 - Ghostman 6 clg Sierra 6, followed by Bravo 2 Tango wkg Ghostman 6; exchanged radio checks on 5 watts.
266.750 - 91 calling 92 on "SAT BRAVO" plain

Not bad for an hour worth of in the blind scanning. HI :D

Wow...you found clear English comms on 255.550? Question: I know I posted this before but never really got an answer.Do the CONUS and Atlantic sats both operate the same band plans B and C ie the same freq sets? I would like to know this for programming reasons.I receive activity on both band plans from my location but Im not sure which constellation Im actually listening to as my antenna is for the most part omni directional. How can you tell?

I too was shocked to pick up legit traffic on 255.550. Normally it's one that stays locked out due to the pirate activity. I can only get CONUS and Pacific here, but 255.550 must also used on the Atlantic because I have seen it on YouTube videos from people in Europe.

Here is the audio clip: 255.550_Clear_Comms.mp3
For some reason the signal was intermittently cutting in and out. I don't know if it was my squelch setting or the interference/clicking sound I receive on a few of the freqs. I have no idea what causes it.
