Event 10 Sanpete - More interesting comms.... Police Drone Training

I've mentioned in a few threads before about the "Event 10 Sanpete" talkgroup on 7202 UCAN being anything but Sanpete County. It's become a bit of a catch-all for all kinds of active operations and training. It was used at the Capitol near the Inaguaration concerns, last year for protest, and many other things.

Tonight's adventure was a cool training. Sounded like K9 and more interestingly Drones doing practice for suspect searches. They were coordinating the flights and dogs using the Drones night vision or thermal and directing to suspects. It was training as it was done several times.

I know that WVPD currently has a drone but unsure of what other agencies have the tool yet. Sounds like though several agencies were involved tonight so expect more agencies to start using these advanced tools soon.

A few nights ago I heard an officer request a drone with FLIR for an incident. Things are getting high tech!
I have Events 10 programmed, but I have not caught much activity

Yeah the sanpete designation was cuz it was mostly used in many when they had the pageants going on, that's the channel it used, I'm under the assumption they the counties or areas are designated certain event channels/talkgroups for certain situations
