EVERGREEN - At least two people were hurt in a single-vehicle accident that closed Interstate 70 near Evergreen early Friday morning.

As of 6 a.m. Friday, only one lane of eastbound and westbound I-70 were open following the accident.

According to the Colorado State Patrol, a black 2004 Jeep Wrangler was traveling eastbound on I-70 between the Genesee and Chief Hosa exits when it went off the left side of the road and into the median, where the road curves to the right. The Jeep rolled over, ejecting the driver and a passenger. Both were taken to St. Anthony Central Hospital, one by helicopter and the other by ambulance.

Troopers say the passenger told them that there was a third person in the vehicle. So far no one else has been found, although rescue crews were continuing to search the area.

9NEWS will provide more information about this accident as soon as it is available.
