EVX Firmware Update

Since the EVX radios are new and there have been frequent updates made to them I thought I would start a new thread that includes the change log information on the updates. I will continue to post back here as I update my radios.

I couldn't copy and paste the chart at the end of the most recent update, so I have attached it to this message.

Here is the information on the latest version Ver 3.13_3.08, Released Oct. 15, 2013

In this firmware, the following problems have been resolved.
(1) When one EVX-530 radio receives a signal and receives another signal just after receiving the first signal, the radio does not TX and RX, the LCD display locks, and the LED lights. This symptom is not observed very frequently.
(2) The following function is added.
(a) When receiving DMR Group Call/Private Call/All Call, the tones that are programmed in the Contact
List. (pointed out by GmbH)
(b) When receiving Group Call, the received Group Tag and the TX station Tag are displayed by turns.
(c) When receiving Private Call and the radio is in the “Hang Up Time”, and receives All Call, the “Hung
Up Time” is cleared.

Sorry you're already behind Dec 2013, version now is 3.14_3.09

(1) Correction, the DTMF tones are not transmitted in the Digital channel even by pressing the 16 key.
(2) Improvement, the scan does not stop on the MDC1200 System Channel even when DOS setting is longer.
(3) Improvement, transmitted AF tone is not distorted.
(4) Improvement of the detection of the CTCSS tail Elimination.
(5) Correction, the individual tone does not ring in receiving even when a tone is programmed in the Contact List and there is no check mark at the “Receive Tone” setting in the in the Digital Common/Decode setting tab.

Perhaps if you are a "VSTech" as your member name suggestions you can provide the update notices??

New Firmware for the portables 6 JAN 2014:

EVX-530_Firmware_V03_15_03_09 (Package).zip

In this firmware, the following problems have been resolved.

(1) Correction
In the previous version, Manual DTMF was not allowed to be sent in the Analog mode and the DTMF side
Tone sounded in the Digital mode/channel. This problem is corrected and the Manual DTMF is allowed in
the analog mode and the DTMF monitor does not sound in the Digital mode.

(2) Correction
There was a code error in the Remote Monitor function. The code is corrected.
(Even if the function starts to work, Motorola radios cannot hear the signal, but only the EVX radio can
hear it.)

The firmware fir the EVX-530 series has been revised.

In this firmware, the following problems have been resolved.
(1) Correct the Digital Busy Channel Lockout and Color Code Lockout function
(2) Therewasaproblemthatthe5-ToneANIfunctiondidnotworkcorrectlywhenthePTTisreleasedin the case “Superimpose = enable”.
The problem has been fixed.
(3) Correct the Hold Time when Emergency function is off.
(4) Apply the Digital DTMF encode.
(5) When a channel was busy, the LCD indication was incorrect.
The display indication is corrected.
(6) TheSQLbehaviorinAnalogmodeisimproved.
