Ex-Prez visit in Asheville

>ASHEVILLE – Former President Bill Clinton will campaign for his wife in a trip to Asheville >on Friday as part of a multicity swing through North Carolina.

>U.S. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton’s campaign made the announcement Wednesday night, >saying it still is putting together arrangements for the trip. Details will be announced today.

>The former president’s North Carolina appearances Friday also will include Greensboro, >High Point, Kannapolis, Salisbury, Gastonia and Hickory.

Should make for some interesting scanner listening.

Most of the action you will hear will be Asheville PD.
Ex-Presidents are assigned only two, at most three Secret Service agents after they leave office.
The longer they are out the fewer agents they will have.
But it will be something different to listen to.

I'm surprised he would be going to Kannapolis.
He helped kill that town with NAFTA.

I believe the Secret Service runs mostly digital encrypted stuff, and the last time a Prez swung through Asheville, the held an event at the airport and left, they never went into town in 2004.
