SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ― A former Sacramento County Sheriff's Deputy has been arrested for murder in the death of correctional officer Steven Lo who was gunned down in his driveway last October.
Former deputy Chu Vue was arrested this morning by police, according to a CBS13 source.
Vue has long been investigated in the October shooting death Lo. Thirty-nine-year-old Lo was in the driveway of his South Sacramento home leaving for work when he was gunned down on October 16 of last year.
When officers arrived, they found Lo lying near his garage. He was taken to the hospital where he later died.
Lo worked at the California Medical Facility in Vacaville and had been a correctional officer with the state Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation for nearly three years.
Investigators quickly began investigating Vue who's wife worked with Steven Lo at the California Medical Facility. Detectives believe Vue's wife Chia had been having an affair with Lo and that was the motive for the crime.
