I installed many of these for Harris on state vehicles....

In two words. They suck.

They're NOT tunable..

SWR was seemingly random, on one freq it'd be near perfect, go up 2mhz and it's 2:1.... go another 3mhz up and it's down to 1.5:1

It's STRICTLY a compromise antenna.

I would get a dualband uhf/vhf antenna, and a dual band 700/800 antenna...

We were also instructed by Harris NOT to cut the 17ft coax, as the antenna was designed to be used with that length coax.. We were advised this after noticing multiple installs with SWR through the roof in 'perfect' installs..... keeping the full length coax resolved 99% of those issues.

I still would not suggest one.. They're too much of a compromise... Match isn't everything, radiation pattern comes into play too, ya know.
