Yes, if it's not already in use. It would be considered a 'vanity' call though, expect there to be a fee to get it.

First of all, how long has your license been expired? Tech, General, Advanced, and Extra licenses can be renewed so long as they are less than two years expired (or is it three?) without retest. Anything beyond that requires retesting and you'll get a new callsign. Check on the FCC ULS to see if your origin al callsign has been re-issued. If not, you can apply for the callsign as a "vanity" call andf pay the costs.

Yeah mine expired in 2005 so I have to retest my old call is still available it's still pulls up my old info. I was in the middle of a divorce so I kinda let it go not at the top of priorities

Good luck on your re-test. Plase remember that if you had a license above the technician level, you have to take elements 2 and 3 for General and 2, 3, and 4 for Extra. You can't retest for Advanced. Welcome back now that your priorities have settled down.
