Extending Yagi Boom

I am building an 800 Mhz Yagi using VK5DJ's excellent calculator. As long as I keep all my measurements as calculated, will extending the rear of the boom for a more secure mount affect anything? My guess is no, but I thought I'd better check with the experts.

Should be fine, whatever is behind the reflector element has little effect on the rest of the antenna.
