Recently bought a Valor Scanner Blaster amplified speaker for my Bearcat BCD325P2. I'm generally very happy with it so far, except for the fact I have to recharge the battery in the unit. Does anyone know if either Valor or Klein makes a stand-alone drop in charger for the K70 battery, or if there is another compatible battery/charger I can use. Thanks in advance.

Steve... the Valor (Klein) K70 battery is actually a Motorola BK-70 cell phone battery. Klein rebranded the BK70 battery as a K70 in order to sell their own batteries for $39.99 USD plus shipping. I found several Brand NEW on EBAY for as little as $5.00 CDN ($4.03 USD) from a seller in Brampton (Toronto) Ontario with FREE Shipping.. I bought 9 batteries off him when i was selling a batch of Valor amplified speakers...all were 100% mint.. still sealed in original wrapper

You can also find the Original Motorola drop in charger # SPN5394A on EBAY for $6.99 plus shipping

hope this helps...

kirk23: Thank you so much. This is exactly the information I am looking for. No longer do evilBay - I closed my account over two years ago after a couple of transactions with buyers that went bad, but I have the part numbers now - so I'll be able to find what I need through other sources.

Thanks again, and have a happy 4th of July.
