External speaker

I wan't to purchase an external speaker for my BCD396T scanner, and would appreciate any input into a speaker model, and wattage that works well with the scanner.

At home I use cheap ($10) amplified speakers from Walgreens. They work great. I have heard that for a car, a good idea is to use a device that wirelessly sends the audio to the radio speakers. Hope that helps a little.

Excellent choice! I have several of them and they are the standard speaker for all of my scanners.

When using on a handheld, do you need an amplifier, or is it built in??

No real specs on the motorola web site.
