HP-1: Extreme Upgrade Price Dropped

I bought the Extreme Upgrade a few weeks ago. I was pleasantly surprised at the price reduction. The upgrade process was straight forward and instant. I did it on a weekend and thought I might have to wait until the following Monday for it to take effect, but it took effect immediately.

I'm not coolderb, but think of the ability to have UniTrunker or Pro96COM built into a scanner, so no need to carry a PC with you.

I don't use the HP1 mobile home only so what is the Extreme Upgrade going to do for me?

IMHO - if you need to ask, you don't need it.

I paid the full price like a week before the discount was announced, that sucked but I like it.
On a basic level the ability to do limit searches is cool, haven't delved much into the rest of the features but they are there if I need them and they look nice graphically.

The trunking and conventional discovery modes are handy if you like searching for new (or unlisted in the RRDB) freqs and TGID's in your area.
