I recently came into possession of an Eyring ELPA 504 and 501 (high power models of the 300 series) from a local ham, and I am looking to start collecting and using Military Radios/Antennas. I was wondering what the value/usefulness of these antennas are. Below is the contents of the two sets.

501:
(2) Reel Assembly
(1) EFU Element Feed Unit

504:
(8) Reel Assembly
(4) EFU Element Feed Unit
(2) Power Dividers w/ 10' coax
(1) Power Splitter
(2) 20' Coax for phasing
(3) Stake Bags w/ Stakes
(2) 502 Kit Bags
(1) 504 Coax Cable Bag
(1) Slide Hammer
(1) Stake Extractor

Please let me know,

I have an Eyring 302A and it works ok and about 6 to 10dB down from a half wave dipole on the 40 or 80m bands. Its a single dipole version varying from a 300ft long center fed to 150ft long when in the bow tie configuration. I've worked coast to coast with one using 100w and that's not bad for an antenna that lays flat on the ground. New surplus 302As were going for about $100 on Ebay not long ago shipped from Israel. New they were in the mid $2k range.

The 504 is the big version and if complete would be worth more $$. Its also a bit more complicated to assemble and I'm not up on how much better or different it works than the 302A.
