EZ-Scan connection issues

While doing some cross linking to the new Whistler EZ Scan FAQ I noticed on a couple of scanner pages that there were connection issues that some folks encountered. It would be helpful to have an explanation of what the error was, and how it was corrected, in the FAQ. If it's a particular version of EZ-Scan - say for the TRX-1 - then be sure to mention this.

I have seen a couple of reports where holding in the MENU button while plugging the cable into the scanner sometimes helps with connection problems.
