Trying to update my Radio Shack Pro-668 (updated via Whistler to 1080) library via Ez Scan and it will not connect - saying "error connecting with SSL". Thoughts?

Several threads have recommended downloading the database manually from Whistler and updating that way. See thread below or link below that.

Is Whistler Still in the Scanner Business ?

I haven't heard anything lately (in Years) from Whistler about any new scanners. Please excuse my ignorance... but are they still in the scanner business? Their former top-of-the-line scanner show "Sold Out" on their web site. I hate to see the competition disappear from the hobby. Thanks !
