Hearing that F-16's are escorting an acft from the Cleveland area headed toward Denver. Trying to get the acft to land eventually at APA. Acft has not communicated w/ ARTCC's. Is anyone hearing anything?

I thought I heard something on the KDEN feed within the last 90 mins - A/C out of Buckley (didnt catch call sign) telling a controller that they were waiting for instruction(?). Not sure if it was related...

I'm not listening to feeds, but APA is primarily in Arapahoe Co. Visual rpt of the F-16's circling APA awhile ago, so suspect the acft is now on the ground.

Ok,
I assume this was a small aircraft, non-commercial.

A friend of mine flying out of DAL today posted on FB he saw 2xF-16's(or whatever) in the air shortly after he took off and no other AC in sight but suspect it may have been coincidence on both counts of his and nothing came out in the media.

Thanks for the heads up.

The F-16's (callsign Peak) did intercept the A/C and it landed safely @ KAPA and got the dreaded message from the tower, "I have a # for you to copy and you need to call it ASAP." After the plane exited the runway, the 2 vipers went into the Mile High CAP to burn off fuel before RTB.

So he didn't switch to the right frequency and it gets 2 F-16s? Something doesn't add up... This happens all the time.

Where was the 43rd U.S. president on Thursday... Denver. Maybe this is what caused NORAD to be overly cautious...

Wonder if the smal a/c pilot realized there were 2 F-16's on his 3 & 9, and tried to do all he/she could to communicate with them? lol
