Came across this on CTV, should be good listening for those of us who can listen to it....damn i hate working in an office building :) Maybe someone with a little more experience with air freqs could link to or post the best frequencies for people to listen in, i'm not too familiar with that area of scanning.

CTV Toronto - Ontarians warned about NORAD G8/20 exercise - CTV News

"NORAD is warning people in south-central Ontario to prepare for some loud aircraft noises as they hold exercises in advance of the G8 summit in Huntsville and the G20 summit in Toronto.

The exercises will take place on Thursday and Friday.

It will involve CF-18 Hornet fighter jets, CH-124 Sea King and CH-146 Griffon helicopters. All will be flying at low levels, the North American Aerospace Defense Command said Tuesday in a news release.

"Residents in the exercise area may hear aircraft noise and perhaps see aircraft flying at various times throughout the day," it said.

"Training is conducted in a disciplined manner and in a professional environment to ensure NORAD's rapid response capability," it said.

"To maintain the integrity of its air defense mission, NORAD will not discuss specific details of the exercises."

The G8 summit is scheduled for June 25 and 26 and will be held at the Deerhurst Resort. The G20 takes place on June 26 and 27 at the Metro Convention Centre in downtown Toronto."

Sweet!

Oh and thanks, I already warned my mother, last time a military aircraft were buzzing around my area she got rather nervous.. I could only imagine her thoughts with multiple military aircraft...

Just had a Globemaster overhead Pearson 5 minutes ago, looked like it was heading downtown again.

Picked up some faint chatter on 256.600 that may have been related.

Back on 344.300 since 10:43am. That freq does show on TAFL as a NavCan. Turns out I had it in my radio already as Lucan Hi Alt, but don't remember where I found it. Doesn't show on Canair Radio.

I have been hearing some "unusual" air noise/traffic in Hamilton this morning, and it is not the Air Ambulance landing at the local hospital..

Have not had the time to go outside and look, but I have heard something low and fast twice (with a jet engine attached to it) now today..

Saw a solo CF-18 north-bound (almost directly over Airport Rd) over Brampton around noon. So again, it's a fair statement to say they are training.
