Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

I have added a UT-119 Digital board to a 6061 Mobile but it is not decoding the digital messages being received, just the digital sound in analog mode. In fact, in the Informatoin section of the software, the radio doesn't even recognize the UT-119 board as being installed. The radio has firmware version 3.0. I am wondering if the firmware is at a level beyond the UT-119 level and would require the newer UT-126 board instead. If that is the case, can the firmware be downgraded to match the UT-119?

I hope someone can help me out with ideas. Thanks.

The 6061 probably needs the UT-126 modele.

I have an F5061 and it works, and recognizes the 126

I am thinking that the firmware version in this particular radio (3.0) is compatible with the UT-126 and not the UT-119. I have another F6061 with firmware version 1.0 and it works fine with the UT-119. I am wondering if it is possible to regress firmware and go back to an older version of firmware that is compatible with the UT-119.

The firmware on the UT119 needs to be upgraded.

Once upgraded the UT119 "becomes" a UT126.

Send me a PM and I will get you setup with what you need.
