F.A.Q. - Frequently Asked Questions

So how about it. If we all chip in here an add the common questions with the best answers maybe we can keep from answering the same questions over, and over and over and over again. Then when Lindsay feels the need or the "extra" time he will be able to make a FAQ page.

Its a good idea but they never seem to work. People always seem to post before they search. I see this time and time again in other forums that have a FAQ thread.

you can post FAQs until you pass out - people disinclined to use "Search" or even browse a forum will certainly not read a boring-old FAQ posted to the top of the list...

the natural progression is for redundant questions to go unanswered - especially as a forum gets LARGER and more heavily-populated.

FAQ or no FAQ, people will keep asking redundant questions.

i say, let 'em - as they figure out they are getting no responses, they will look for other methods to find an answer (e.g., the "Search" button)

To me, that's the main purpose for the site...forum is secondary but right up there with the database.
