I am just wondering if these freq. have anything to do with voice or is it just navigational. Also is there any freq. that are used at a really high altitude. and if there are any satelitte ATC freq. that are i use for aircraft traveling over seas.

Thanks

Specifically, what frequencies are you talking about? Some center frequencies are assigned to a high sector. That same frequency could be used on the other side of the country for a different purpose. ATC does not use satellites for voice communication (yet) they use HF frequencies and there are text based satellite communications as well.

ultra high altitude frequency

Hi

Here is a list you can punch in.

CAP Frequencies - Washington State Area
Frequency Description Modulation
271.0000 BLUE 15 BigFoot - Refueling AM
275.8000 BigFoot (Air-Air) AM
364.2000 BLUE 07 AM
252.0000 BLUE 11 AM
282.6000 BLUE 17 AM
288.4000 BLUE 19 AM
300.1250 BLUE 40 AM
321.3000 AMBER 6 AM

321.3000 is the ultra high altitude frequency for the spokane area. Have it in my scanner but have not heard anything on it yet. The primary UHA Frequency is 369.9000. Have heard comms on 300.1250 and 282.6000

I live in northwest montana, libby area.

Hope this helps
