does anyone know if there is a way to put the factory software that came with the scanner back into the bcd396t i have updated with the 301.00 an i dont seem to find an improvment at all .like the cc dnd option but other then that seems like wont reach as far.

The scanner still hears just as far away as it did before - look for other causes for your troubles.

no it just seems like im not getting my hometown channel anymore id 7600 p25 its still programed an all but its not recieving it sence i updated a week ago but all the rest seem fine could it not be locking on a control channel or somthing?

I believe you can downgrade the scanner to the old firmware and try that

or "To initalize the scanner's memory, turn off the scanner. Then press 2, 9, and hold while turning it on." hold all 3 while turning on

This will only re-set the scanners memory probably wont do much for receiving problems.

I went all the way from 1.11.03 to 3.01.00 a week or so ago, and it did not affect ANY of the programmed systems. Did you update your systems with UASD, or something like that? If not, then I'd check the 'squelch', and that sort of thing that you may have changed accidentally. Like the other poster, I doubt that version 3 has anything to do with it.

Be more specific about what system you are trying to hear. Look it up in our database and supply the URL

I too have done the 3.01 update, and had no real effect on what I was hearing , so it's much more likely some setting that has to be fixed - likely a user error. If you can dump your programming using the UASD (or perhaps Freescan or BCTool) others can look and see what needs to be changed. 73 Mike
